TFC BBQ Ltd Looking for Chef de Partie at Mount Maunganui, Bay of Plenty Full Time

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our small team. At least one year of experience candidates would be considered. Please note that this is not an entry-level position. If you have experience cooking with firewood/solid fuel would be an advantage, otherwise, on-the-job training will be offered.

The ideal candidate would be responsible for the following

• Planning menus with the kitchen team for the oncoming seasons.
• Estimating and controlling food and labor costs of the section you are responsible for.
• Order food and kitchen supplies that are relevant to your section to the Head Chef.
• Monitoring quality and portions of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
• Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, kitchen and wait staff and being proactive to find better and more efficient ways of making things happen
• Follow cooking and cleaning procedures already in place
• Preparing and cooking food using the best practices of our industry
• Follow hygiene regulations already in place
