Our Opportunity

The Intern Software Developer is responsible for allocated software development tasking, including requirements analysis / use case development, software design, component implementation, system integration and testing. These tasks may be assigned by their Information Manager or by the IS/IT Manager.

About the role

• Participating in Agile development practices including stand ups, planning and retrospectives.
• Implementation of approved software.
• Performing code inspections and design reviews.
• Performing informal and formal testing.
• Contributing to software process improvement activities and initiatives.
• Actively contributing to a harmonious work environment and practising Thales’s key values.
• Working in a considered and safe manner at all times.
• Participating in Thales Australia Personal Development programs and Annual Activity discussions.
• Complying with all company policies and procedures.
• Complying with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies and frameworks and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimising accidental exposures to self, colleagues, visitors and/or the environment.

About you

• 
  Agile software engineering methodology and concepts.

• PHP, Oracle, Java, C/C++ and/or other Object-Oriented language skills.

• Windows software development environments.
