The team at The Blue Breeze Inn, Go Go Daddy & Chop Chop are growing and we are currently seeking experienced Duty Managers to join and lead our team. As a Duty Manager, you’ll understand people and how to lead and inspire them.  You’ll have a proven track record of more than four years in hospitality, and two years of management experience.

We emphasise training and developing your skills across multiple locations and departments. You will be supported so you can lead our team members, who play a pivotal role in us being a successful operation.

Duty Manager

Number of Positions: 3

POSITION: Full- time and Permanent.

Number of hours per week: 38 hours to Maximum 50 hours.

Pay Rate : $27 – $30 per hour

Location : Auckland City

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Ensuring that customers receive prompt service and quality goods and services.
• Responding to customers’ inquiries and complaints about goods and services.
• Planning and preparing work schedules and assigning staff to specific duties.
• Interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, dismissing and promoting staff, and resolving staff grievances.
• Instructing staff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales procedures.
• Examining returned goods and deciding on appropriate action.
• Taking inventory of goods for sale and ordering new stock.
• Ensuring that goods and services are correctly priced and displayed.
• Ensuring safety and security procedures are enforced.
• Uphold company policy. 

Preferred Competencies & Qualifications:

• Currently, hold or have the ability to gain a Duty Managers certificate.
• Minimum of 4 years of hospitality experience.
• Minimum of two years of management experience.
• Experience working with Wizbang POS system. 
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Excellent communication skills.
