Phantom Works is seeking a System Engineer in St. Louis, Missouri to join a diverse Systems Engineering & Integration Team (SEIT) on an advanced proprietary program. The program develops several complex and highly integrated systems and is a key part of Boeing’s future. This team is paving the way for how future Boeing programs will operate by integrating cutting edge systems, processes, and tools into product design and lifecycle management. This allows the team to work in an agile framework that enables trade space analysis early in design to ensure our products are the absolute best in class.
The person selected for this role will work directly with our program’s capture team to provide Systems Engineering inputs and direction for a large proposal effort. Contributions include development of the Integrated Master Plan (IMP), tech volume, and estimates for SE work scope. This role will interact with Program leadership as well as Capture team leadership as they help shape this important program proposal.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare and present strategies, outcomes, and assessments initiatives to Boeing management.
Assist in developing system engineering plans, initial capability documents, requirements specifications, and interface control documents
Conduct proposal and execution risk assessments and generate mitigation plans
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Interim And/or Final U.S. Secret Security Clearance-Post Start is Required.
This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
A Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
3+ years of systems engineering experience involving system architecture development, including system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis, and verification.
3+ years of experience with proposal writing/management.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, such as CAMEO or similar Systems Modeling Language (SysML)-compatible tool for systems architecture and model development.
Experience with Mission Systems and Weapon System development
Typical Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
