Main Purpose and Function
The Enforcement Clerk is responsible for the ongoing data collection supporting the auditing and enforcement of Short-term Rental (STR) operators, using a number of digital research sources. The position will document available information on suspected non-compliant operators, following the program’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Monitoring and associated information collection represent critical program activities that inform decisions by senior staff to escalate operator files for licence audits, property inspections, warning letters, fines, prosecution, and injunctions. The position will populate forms and evidence templates to execute and justify directed enforcement actions.

FLEX WORK LANGUAGE – REMOVE IF NOT APPLICABLE: Where operationally appropriate and subject to change, the City of Vancouver has a Flexible Work Program. This program allows staff to work remotely 1 – 4 days a week from locations that are a daily commutable distance from their work at a City worksite. At this time this position is eligible to be part of the Flexible Work Program.
