As a key member of CPS Technical Team, the CPS Safety Manager will provide support and subject matter expertise to system leaders and functions in key focus areas to drive and improve safety performance across the Concentrate Manufacturing Organization – across multiple locations, geographies – to achieve our vision of “Zero is Possible”.
This will include the implementation of needed processes, operating models, metrics, and technologies to enable our Network to deliver safety performance results.
This leader will benchmark internally and externally, leverage best-in-class systems and processes for system integration, collaborate across functions, be results oriented, be a self-starter and creative, have constructive curiosity, and will bring innovative solutions to the table, knowing that “one size does not fit all.” He should be proficient in driving change through engagement with all levels of the organization.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities
Define and implement relevant programs to raise safety culture towards excellence within our organization (e.g. HOP, Safety Leadership program…).
Define, write, and implement global policies and CPS guidelines related to his subject matter expertise: work safety at manufacturing including regulations, ISO°45001 certification, safety practices, Human Organizational Performance (HOP), Behavior Based Safety (BBS), Life Saving Rules (LSR) Ergonomics, fire protection, contractor management, benchmark practices.
Provide consulting support (virtual or on site) to manufacturing sites around the world to diagnose and solve specific problems or help identify opportunities.
Develop technical training content for workplace safety in manufacturing.
Ensure dynamic CPS OSH communication within our network to show case best practices, recognize positive performers, share learnings in case of incidents…
Contribute to CPS QSE Management System development, improvement and ensure integration/standardization of OHS elements.
Track CPS safety performance, ensure appropriate reporting from every site using TCCC reporting system (KOSMOS), analyses trends and use to drive collective safety programs.
Coordinate and wire together the CPS EOSH Network to share best practices and raise our collective genius and capability.
Work closely with the internal audit team, as well as KORE GAO audit team to ensure appropriate governance is in place to monitor performance in manufacturing facilities and warehousing networks for workplace safety.
Be an active member of TCCC Global Safety Council to learn from others and bring expertise and CPS capabilities to TCCS.
Collaborate internally and externally to ensure safety programs, guidelines and tools remain current and reflect the latest thinking, to benchmark and collaborate, and to share best practices.
