The Colonial Inn Hiring for Bartender/Server at Hillsborough, NC Full Time

We are looking to immedietely hire a reliable, eager bartender/server who is a team player and can provide an excellent guest experience in a causal, fun and fast-paced historic inn tavern. Great bartenders are able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations. Compensation includes hourly wages and tips.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Set up bar and dining area according to opening procedures list provided
• Interact with a diverse spectrum of customers empathetically – take orders and serve snacks, meals, and drinks and build guest repore
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations and follow all food/health safety guildlines
• Clean according to closing procedures and complete all tasks before clocking out

Skills

• Resume and proven working experience as a bartender/server
• Dependability is paramount
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Computer literacy/point of sale expereince is a plus
• Knowledge of a second language is a plus
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills is a must
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 – $50.00 per hour
