The Cornwall College Group Hiring for Animal Instructor and Technician Job at Stoke Climsland, England , UK Full Time

Due to growth in the Animal Care department at Duchy College Stoke Climsland, we are looking for a new animal care instructor/technician to assist in teaching practical skills to our students, assist with the care of the animals and be involved in exciting new developments.

We are looking for someone who has the skills to deliver outstanding practical sessions as an instructor and holds technician responsibility for some of the maintenance and upkeep of the Animal Husbandry Centre, and some involvement in creating new enclosures.

The post holder will be required to work with students of a range of ages and abilities during practical sessions and will work closely with the Animal Management team.

Applicants will have a varied role with various types of animals in our collection to work with, always ensuring that welfare of our animals is key in everything we do.

Applicants will also be expected to promote the College through marketing and events throughout the year.

Applicants must be qualified to Level 3 in an Animal Care or related subject, ideally holding a teaching qualification or prepared to work towards a teaching qualification, and have experience of working with a range of animals and working in a team situation. A full, clean driving licence and own transport is also essential. This position may include some weekend work.
