Approved Transportation and Warehousing, Ltd., part of The DeWitt Companies, has an immediate opening for a qualified Data Entry Specialist to support our Accounting Team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with 3 years of data entry in a high-volume environment as well as AP/AR experience. To apply for this position, please reply to this ad.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Gather and sort documents/backup in preparation for invoice entry in the system
• Verify accuracy of transaction information and customer details in order to post invoices
• Review data to detect any errors and re-enter with correct information
• Help to maintain accurate general ledger accounts by posting various account transactions and sales entries on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
• Maintain database by entering new and updated customer account details
• Establish data entry priorities as dictated by the Controller
• Resolve deficiencies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the correct parties for resolution
• Maintain confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Basic accounting knowledge and excellent data entry skills required
• Able to handle high volume of entering 100+ invoices per day
• AP/AR knowledge preferred
• Strong attention to detail

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• 3+ years’ experience in data entry
• 1 year AP/AR experience
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at times
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and typing on a computer

WORK HOURS:
Work hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday
