As a non-profit community health centre, The Gathering Place provides integrated health and social services to homeless or precariously housed individuals. Responsibilities and daily duties:

• Answering reception phone calls and checking messages
• Greet and properly direct guests and visitors
• Assisting Guest Support Staff in ensuring guests’ bags are tagged and stored appropriately
• Helping guests sign up for laundry services
• Picking up mail from Canada Post, documenting, and ensuring guests sign for their mail
• Keeping the Reception employee in/out system up to date
• Maintaining a registry and logging system for staff radios, ensuring radios are charged and ready to go
• Completing loss equipment reports for any missing radios or panic buttons
• Ensuring all forms required by staff are printed and replenished when required.
• Assisting various departments with building signage
• Providing relief for breaks and lunches at the front reception
• Other administrative duties when necessary

Qualifications and Skills:

• A diploma in office or business administration (or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in office administration
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Professional and highly organized
• Valid Drivers License
• Clear Record of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check
