The Role

Develop and improve The Good Guys Point of Sale system and Order management system as well as implementing new business requirements to help business automate manual processes.

Responsibilities:

• Work as a cross functional member of a squad within the full software development lifecycle
• Implement well designed, testable, efficient code
• Contribute to pair programming and peer review exercises to ensure code quality
• Work on design artifacts and/or evaluate these against business need
• Work across squads to ensure that the systems we deliver are fit for purpose
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Participate in the DevOps support role on a roster basis
• Identify risks and issues as necessary and ensure they are socialised

Requirements:

• Experience in developing/supporting .NET Core and .NET Framework/C#
• Solid skills in SQL.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Experience in designing, developing and maintaining integration solutions for Enterprise systems using Microsoft Azure Cloud Services.
• Experienced in Git and management of other repositories.
• Providing technology advice, setup, integrations, and automatic Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) strategies for your solutions.
• Familiar in Azure Cloud Services (PaaS & IaaS), APIM, Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Storage, Active Directory, Application Insights, Azure Monitoring, Key Vault.
• Bachelor of Computer Science highly desirable
