The Kiwi Butcher Shop Looking for Apprentice Butcher at New Plymouth Central, Taranaki Full Time

We are looking to hire an apprentice butcher to work with our friendly team.

Our butchery has been around since 1967, winning NZ Sausage and NZ Bacon Awards and we have a wealth of experience and knowledge to share. The combined experience of our five butchers totals over 125 years.

We are looking for an energetic individual with a strong work ethic who is willing to take on the challenge and stick to it. We do not care about age, gender or previous experience, an honest ‘let’s get it done’ attitude is more important to us. 

By the end of your apprenticeship you will be able to break and bone carcasses, make sausages, small goods, cure and smoke meats and understand the workings of both the retail and wholesale side of butchery.

General butchery duties such as serving customers, clean up and helping out the rest of the team will also be included.

Hours are 6.30 – 4pm – Monday to Friday. 

One Saturday per month from 7.30-4pm will also be a part of your working routine.
