The Landing MN’s day center is dedicated to building trust, giving hope, and supporting steps toward stability for those experiencing homelessness.

The Administrative Support Staff will operate as a member of the office team. They will be tasked with scheduling medical/social service appointments, answering/documenting/transferring calls, responding to on-site donors as well as those calling in. This position is also tasked with handling all social service data entry.

The goal of the Administrative Support Staff will be to support operation of the day shelter leadership team by responding to calls in a clear and effective manner while carrying out data entry and social service support duties. This position reports to the Director of Social Services in an ongoing basis, while working cooperatively with Leadership staff and the medical navigator. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedule Medical and Social Service Appointments.
• Process intake paperwork from guests.
• Document guest services in HMIS.
• Answer phones in a professional and clear manner—directing calls to other staff as needed.
• Provide a welcoming and positive experience for donors that may come into the day center seeking to support the mission of The Landing MN, or who may call in looking to donate.
• Occasionally assist the floor staff with day-today day-center tasks.
• Utilize Office Suite to create documentation of data-tracking outcomes.
• Run HMIS reports as needed.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
• Perform other related responsibilities, tasks and projects as needed or assigned.

Experience:

Preferred:

• 2+ years of reception/office management experience.
• Experience working with those experiencing homelessness.
• Microsoft Office suite experience, or data entry experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Occasional periods of standing and walking
• Ability to lift (up to) 15 pounds
• Periods of prolonged sitting and typing
