What You’ll Do:
Contract Review – Providing an independent review of the legal terms and conditions of professional services agreements based on third-party terms and company templates. Partner with internal stakeholders to advise as appropriate on a range of contract options and their legal risks based on the company group’s objectives in order to realize specific business goals. Maintaining a thorough understanding of company templates and negotiation terms and policies with the ability to draft legal provisions as needed. Monitoring global legal, regulatory, and compliance conditions that affect contracts. Contributing to the development of new templates/playbooks, monitoring the trends in contract negotiation and legislation changes to create and adopt alternative contractual terms.
Contract Negotiation – Independently drafting, analyzing, reviewing, and negotiating legal provisions within a variety of contracts. Analyzing requests for modifications to company-approved contract language, and either providing alternative language or analyzing risk and facilitating review with applicable subject matter experts for guidance. In coordination with internal stakeholders and applicable subject matter experts, negotiating legal provisions in support of stakeholders.
Additional responsibilities include proactively communicating and providing training on contractual-related updates, modifications, issues, etc. to stakeholders.
Must Haves :
Minimum 5 years of experience with global contract negotiation, analysis, and interpretation required
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work remotely
Ability to produce quality work under pressure and be able to deliver tasks against tight deadlines
Must be able to balance competing project priorities from multiple client groups globally
Ability to analyze complex legal issues
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite
Must be self-motivated and conscious of both the quality and timeliness of the work completed
Ability to function autonomously with little supervision
Complete fluency in reading and writing in the English language Preferred
JD or Paralegal Studies
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Hours & Location:
M-F 40 hrs/week. This position is 100% Remote.
