Responsibilities
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Greets and directs patients and visitors to the proper locations within the Medical Center.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential: standing, sitting, seeing, hearing, speaking, carrying usual weight of 20 pounds; frequent gripping of an object. Continuous: carrying weight up to 20 pounds. Frequent: finger dexterity, lifting weight up to 20 pounds. Occasional: walking, stooping/bending, reaching below shoulder level. Operates typewriter, computer, telephone, addressograph.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Not substantially subjected to adverse working conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education/Certification and Licensure:
1.Academic background necessary to understand and give verbal and written instructions in English.
2.Ability to operate automated systems.
B. Experience:
1.Experience in a position requiring communication skills with the public preferred.
