The Inventory Control Assistant is a full-time, hourly position in the Parts Department. Hours worked are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, with one hour for lunch unless the Parts Department Manager determines that business needs warrant a different work schedule. The Inventory Control Assistant is directly supervised by the Parts Inventory Specialist and will report to the Parts Manager.
Primary Responsibilities of the Inventory Control Assistant
- To return and inspect part returns (including stock, core, and warranty) from customers and technicians.
- To assist in inventory efforts to aid in achieving company, as well as departmental goals.
- Daily receiving of parts into the warehouse, as well as monitoring for Part Service Reps/Drivers arrival and directing truck drivers where to unload
- To aid in administrative procedures, including those associated with warranty, as well as core returns to Raymond.
The Inventory Control Assistant will:
- 2 years prior inventory experience.
- Material handling or industrial equipment experience highly preferred.
- Have good administrative skills: being organized, detail-oriented, a good record keeper, good with numbers, and PC literate.
- Be self-motivated.
- Be able to handle multiple tasks.
- Able to interact with fellow employees and managers at all levels of the corporation, while fostering a team environment within the Parts Department.
- Able to perform the reaching, bending, twisting, stretching, lifting (up to 50 lbs. or more) and other physical actions required as a basic part of the job.
Have the physical stamina to work on concrete floors in a warehouse, which can be cold in the winter and hot in the summer.
