About the Role
  
Our client specialises in customised Sheetmetal fabrication and powder coating. They are a well-established sizable manufacturing operation based on the North Shore who have a reputation for excellence and are continuing to grow and expand.
  
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Engineer who has just graduated or has up to 5 years’ experience and has a desire to learn and develop their skills within a manufacturing environment.  You will be involved in liaising with clients regarding orders, quoting and undertaking basic design work.   This will be an interesting and varied role, where you will gain exposure to working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties:  

• Assist the Director and Management with project manufacturing and delivery
• Undertake basic 3D Modelling using Solidworks
• Project Management of specified projects to ensure complete and timely delivery
• Receive and process customer orders
• Handle customer enquiries and prepare quotations
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills and Experience:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Be proactive with a high level of problem solving ability
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers
• Basic computer skills using Word, Excel
• Experience with CAD packages ie; Solidworks or Inventor
• Committed to Health and Safety in the workplace
