About the Role
We are looking for warehouse assistants to handle stock in our Auckland-based warehouse. This is a permanent role for 40-60 hours a week, Monday to Friday between hours of 7am to 7pm. However, during peak workload, 6 days per week maybe required.
You would be expected to do 180-200 picking/packing tasks per hour this is average speed which is measured by our WMS (Warehouse Management System)
Pay rate of $28-$30/hour is on offer, dependent upon experience or the skills you bring to the role.
The Person We are Looking For
Experience is desired but not essential. Your attitude, character and personal values are most important to us to ensure you can work positively within our highly productive team.
We seek a person with a strong work ethic, who will take personal accountability for the work they are required to do.
Proven reliability both in attendance and in completing tasks on time and accurately is essential.
You will need to be computer literate, good with numbers and an open communicator.
You need to have a sharp eye for detail and be a really on to it type of person with good energy.
Ideally you will also have a continuous improvement mindset and assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
You must be willing to start at 7am
Be physically fit (for example able to lift up to 20 kgs) and be able to stand long hours and maintain good posture for lifting/bending.
Key Tasks include
Receive incoming goods and check for damage.
Place received goods into correct locations in the warehouse.
Load and unload goods from delivery vans.
Verify the product has been completed according to customer specifications.
Record daily productivity, including completion of all Customer information sheets.
Receipt and dispatch Inspections.
Ensure that the correct quantity has been received by comparing received goods with information on the work order check for discrepancies.
Identify any damaged or missing goods and record pertinent information.
Perform weekly and monthly stock audits as per the instructions given by the manager.
Ensuring the Picking, Quality control, and putaway are done in accordance with the WMS software used by the company.
If you are required to move received goods to appropriate storage areas using mechanical equipment such as Forklift, then we will arrange for you to get a forklift license.
Other General Responsibilities include,
Maintain good housekeeping.
Ensure daily/monthly KPIs are met.
Comply with the companys safety and security policies.
