This position will perform dailytasks including washing dishes, janitorial & kitchen cleaning, andothers assigned by the Supervisor. This position does require weekend andholiday shifts. Must be responsible and a self-starter. Must show respect toother employees, associates, clients and the goals and objectives of TheSalvation Army.Duties and Responsibilities:Wash all dishes, silverware, pots and pans as needed.Maintain dishwasher in a clean and sanitized manner.Assist in maintaining all company equipment in proper working order, as wellas in a sanitary condition.Work with other staff/volunteers to maintain the kitchen in following healthand safety standards.Receive food deliveries and stock in the appropriate location.At the end of each shift, make sure all floors are swept and mopped and alldoors securely closed and locked.Present a professional demeanor that communicates a corporate philosophy ofservice, goodwill, and genuine interest in each client’s needs.Will assist, as necessary, in implementing the rules of the Harbor Lightprogram.Other duties as assigned. Ability to grasp,push, pull, and reach overhead. Ability to operate telephone. Ability tolift to 25 pounds. Ability to access and produce information from thecomputer.
