Were looking for a Software Engineer with an interest in furthering their career in Cloud Hosting, specifically within our Public Cloud squad.

About the role

The Cloud Hosting team is responsible for building and maintaining the end-to-end lifecycle of Suncorps Public and Private Cloud platforms and services.

The team is responsible for managing all aspects of these platforms and maintains several software assets which enable various functions for internal customers. Youll be working with various technologies across a large environment with numerous exciting projects on the horizon. Work within a team that supports your development and values innovative ideas.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and innovate across Suncorps Cloud Platforms using your software development expertise.
• Collaborate with customers and vendors to deliver solutions that meet requirements.
• Proactively identify and create proposals for technology improvements.
• Assist in creating technology roadmaps and a pipeline of work aligned to it.
• Provide input into workload and resource planning and estimation activities.

Skills & Experience

• Experience working as a Software or a DevOPS Engineer role is a requirement of this role.
• Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science and/or Current Industry Technical Qualifications is desired.
• Skills and experience using the following technologies:
• AWS
• Python
• Ansible
• CICD
• Django
• Demonstrable experience in requirements gathering, process mapping and re-engineering.
• Developing Infrastructure as a code.
