COMPANY

This is a data analytics consultancy that has been developing and delivering solutions to its clients for over 18 years in various industries like Government, engineering, telecommunications, retail, financial services, and mining. They provide consulting services like design, build, deployment & testing.

They also deliver projects for their clients across business intelligence, data warehousing, data management, reporting, analytics, data migration, marketing analytics, and applications development.

They are a small team of 15, experienced, and highly cooperative working in a hybrid (onsite, offsite) model.

ROLE

As a senior Java developer, you will be overseeing the design and development of bespoke software applications using Java and Oracle technologies along with stakeholder management and mentoring junior developers.

You will be architecting software based on service-oriented and event-driven architectures, along with the following responsibilities:

• Update and maintain existing export certification systems for a uniform user experience
• Develop and maintain web-based UI using ReactJS, CSS, and HTML
• Design, translate and implement data models
• Use Java Object-Relational Mapping frameworks to implement CRUD operations on the database
• Produce and maintain detailed design artifacts & technical specifications
• Implement and maintain federated authentication and role-based access control
• Design and develop web services using a top-down approach
• Create and read WSDLs, XML Schemas & XML payloads
• Develop and maintain workflows using BPEL and Oracle SOA Suite
• Use and configure Oracle Middleware, including SOA Suite, Database and HTTP Server
• Version source code using Git
• Develop and test SOAP and REST web services. (test using SoapUI and Postman)
• Management dependency using Maven
• Perform build and deployment automation using Jenkins

YOU

• 5+yrs of exp in collaborative software design and development using Java and Oracle technologies and JavaScript
• Experience with the SDLC. Experience working as part of a team to design and develop innovative software applications that improve and simplify business processes
• Experience with support, maintenance, and debugging of critical systems issues
• Experience with client-server, microservices, service-oriented, and event-based architectures
• Experience with producing technical documentation to communicate detailed design and for support and maintenance of the system
• The ability to engage well and develop strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders as required

It is desirable (not essential) to have experience within the following:

• Developing workflows and web service orchestration using Oracle BPEL
• Drools (BRMS), and Agile development methodologies (like Scrum, Kanban)
• Azure DevOps Repos, Boards, Artifacts, and Pipelines
• Azure App Service, Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Event Grid, Service Bus, SQL, SQL DB, and Cosmos DB
