The Staffing Group Hiring for Software Engineer – C Job at Melbourne, Australia Full Time

Just Digital People have partnered with an internationally recognised product company in the Healthcare Medical space providing a secure and scalable product combined with plenty of data to improve the lives of 100,000’s people. They have offices across Melbourne and Brisbane and are looking to bring on some new Software Engineer who would like to be part of a project and business that is making real steps to tackle some of the biggest challenges in healthcare in modern society. They have offices in Melbourne & Brisbane CBD’s and are operating on a flexible 2/3 days WFH policy.

This person will be enthusiastic about making a difference in the world through software and will be passionate about performance, reliability, and design and most of all security. Someone who can take ownership of applications, take user/team feedback to make adjustments and make continuous improvements.

Not only is the business growing rapidly in a crucial pillar of the medical space, they are also at a pivotal part of their data-journey, initiating data science and ML projects.

About you

• You will be need to be well versed in C (or C++) and linux environments
• Experience with Real-time low latency systems
• Some experience with Python would be a bonus
• Database development would be a bonus
• Years of experience aren’t everything but you will likely have 4+ years of experience as an engineer working in complex commercial environment
• This role is working on building out new systems and functions, so working in a production environment with an agile team is necessary
• Proven experience in writing clean readable code, creating extensive documentation for existing code, and refactoring previously written code.

Responsibilities

• Work on a project that will be focused on software that helps top medical experts across Australia support and treat patients.
• Take full ownership of backend systems from design of architecture, to implementation
• Assist with frontend development and design where necessary.
• Work with team and management to ensure project goals and timeline is met.
• Support junior developers and team members where necessary.
