What does The Trade Desk actually do
Long story short, The Trade Desk is the Largest independent media buying platform. The platform handles around 14 million request per second, imagine a stock exchange but instead of stocks, you are buying advertising.
The Scale we work at is quite large and our products affect people all over the world – Our Goal is to make the Open internet better. More secure. More empowering to users.
Great but what is the actual role?
Our Research and Development teams work on different areas of our platform and product. Some work on ways to improve performance using low level C++, breaking things, and putting them back together pretty much. Internal tooling and development of tools to help efficiency in the teams, working on CI/CD pipelines using Java. Others work on the core of the platform which is built on C# and Java.
In short, the team works on a range of languages, so you will never be bored or unchallenged with something new.
Due to us being in a Hypergrowth mode we have a range of Greenfield projects. Projects which will allow you to lead and have code ownership. We value your ideas and want to provide a platform to allow you to pursue them.

We are an engineering and product led business, we invest in tech and the growth of our employees. We even have our own VC arm which invest in open internet ventures.
We are a hybrid environment, which means we work from the office as well as remote, we currently have 2 offices in the Sydney CBD, so your pic with what works for you.
