Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role


We are looking for an Executive Assistant to support the Deputy Secretary, Chief Economic Advisor. The Chief Economic Advisor is responsible to ensuring the quality of economic advice across the Treasury and heads the Office of the Chief Economic Advisor.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Pre-empt the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Economic Advisors needs, exercise judgement based on those needs and co-ordinate information and resources for their commitments
• Co-ordinate, organise and execute requirements for meetings
• Prepare and draft correspondence including emails, reports and documents
• Be task-driven (complex diary and email management) but also play a key strategic support role

In particular, the Deputy Secretary Chief Economic Advisor is looking for someone to proactively assist him with his wide-ranging engagement inside and outside the Treasury. Full-time is preferred but a four-day week or flexible hours would be considered for the right applicant.
