Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join the School of Computer Science as an Industry Engagement Manager (Employer Liaison Manager)

As Industry Engagement Manager, you will:

• Manage and facilitate an extensive internship programme for Masters students.
• Play a vital role initiating, developing, and supporting strategic alliances with employers and industry to develop internships and industry projects for our students.
• Be responsible for enhancing opportunities for industry to engage with the School and play a key role in developing relationships between the School and the wider business community.
• Work collaboratively with external organisations to promote the University as the preferred source of graduate candidates.
• Develop and implement internships, industry projects and graduate role opportunities.
• Identify and promote work experience, including internship/mentoring opportunities to students.
• Coordinate several careers events that bring students face-to-face with prospective employers from a wide range of sectors. As such, candidates must be able to exercise their knowledge and expertise around managing events.
• Work with industry, alumni, and other stakeholders to create and deliver programmes to support employability.

This is a permanent, fulltime (37.5 hours per week) role
Remuneration: $76,000 – $82,000 negotiable on experience

A proactive, energetic, and relationship-focused professional, you will possess the ability to establish collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, including providers and external organisations.

Ideally you will be tertiary-qualified, with proven experience in networking and business development.

Preference will be given to applicants who have worked in a tertiary sector environment, operating in a role related to graduate employment. However, individuals who have a solid commercial background with a relationship-development focus, coupled with credible industry employer contacts and some recruitment or career management experience, will also be considered.
