The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi

We are currently seeking to recruit into the position of Admissions Team Leader

within the Department of Student Services due to the Student Services Function Review. Primarily based in the City Campus, this will be a wonderful opportunity to champion and contribute to the activation of Manaakitanga, whanaungatanga and kaitiakitanga within the student services function, supporting students through the applications process, including collaboration with stakeholders and responsibility for strategic portfolios. Whilst in the role you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Admission Advisors and/or Specialists through the cycle of Admissions, Applications and external transfer of credit. The role will require for you to meet University strategic objectives and support the achievement of KPIs.

Qualifications

You will be a confident communicator with great interpersonal skills. You are an experienced team leader and will be able to show that you can lead through a time of significant change whilst building trust amongst all stakeholders.

Important Skills and knowledge | Nga Pūkenga Motuhake

• Model/Implement and demonstrate your understanding of Te Ao Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Good understanding of the University Admissions process
• Demonstrated high ability in leading and managing a unit in an area of high-volume workload and high intensity
• Experience in working with and understanding the needs of a diverse range of stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated skills and experience in team building, change management and working collaboratively while embedding the Student Services Function Review model
• Advanced knowledge of University systems and data bases, People Soft (CS9, SSO and Strategic Management Reporting – SMR).

Reporting through to the Admissions Manager, Student Services, you will be leading a team of Admissions Advisers, Doctoral Admissions Specialist and Admissions Specialists.
