After a few quiet months, our students are finally back on campus and our focus is on organizing fun & exciting events for the next 18 months!
We have two incredible Event and Conference Planner opportunities to join our Event Services Team at the University of Auckland. One will be based within the Business School and the other within the Faculty of Education and Social Work, where you will support the delivery of a wide range of events for the faculty.
You will be accountable for developing event concepts, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with the faculty marketing team, coordinating the annual faculty calendar and managing events end-to-end. You will also provide expertise, guidance, and advice to ensure informed and timely decisions can be made to ensure the delivery of professional, successful and safe events.
Both positions are full-time, permanent.
Fairly standard hours, occasional late nights, no weekend work.
The salary range is between $54,700 – 68,200 based on experience and qualifications.
About you | He kōrero mōu
Our ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ experience implementing both virtual and in-person events, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to confidently and tactfully inform and advise stakeholders. You will need to hit the ground running and be able to multi-task and work confidently under pressure. You’ll need to use your initiative, and work both independently as well as part of a team.
This role will suit someone who is highly organised, takes a proactive approach, is able to lead the planning and management of events in the faculty, thrives in a busy environment and has a genuine interest in one of the faculties mentioned. An understanding of tikanga and kawa for events would be advantageous.
