Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
Ko te whare Pūtaiao |the faculty of science are looking for a Faculty Administrator to provide secretarial and administrative support to the Director of Faculty Operations as well as wider faculty leaders. This is a multifaceted role which will have you support a varied group of high-level stakeholders. You will add value through your ability to prioritise and move quickly in all you do.
You will act as committee secretary for all faculty committee meetings supporting the Associate Deans, Deputy Dean and the Director of Faculty Operations to facilitate the work of the faculty committees.
You will be central to what we do through your secretarial support in operational activities. You will work as committee liaison and on occasions you will provide additional support for our Executive Assistant and our HR teams during key periods of activity such as promotion rounds.
Remuneration: $47,400 – $59,700 negotiable on experience and qualifications.

We are looking for someone who loves to communicate with fantastic interpersonal skills. You will need to have the ability to interpret information and display sound judgement whilst also keeping in mind confidentiality and the need for discretion with certain aspects of your role.
This is a position that requires the management of a high volume of demands, so you will need the ability to complete your work autonomously whilst balancing the complexity of team dependent activities.
Your ability to ensure actions are completed or moved forward at the right times will demonstrate your excellent customer service focus, through reliable, efficient, and accurate execution of service deliverables. You add value to the team by connecting with people across levels in a positive manner, as we consider relationship management a key element of the role.
