Job Description

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Epidemiologist, this is your opportunity to play a key role in the development of a research programme in Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) epidemiology. To do this you will use existing data sets to design and conduct research about vaccines and vaccine preventable disease.

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge

• A PhD (or equivalent) in a research area relevant to health sciences
• Research experience in biostatistics and/or epidemiology
• Peer reviewed journal article authorship
• Interest and skills in working with large population based data sets
• Advanced skills in SAS or R programming i.e. able to do joins, merges, sorts, familiar with statistical modelling procedures.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues
• Ability to juggle competing tasks in a dynamic environment

Remuneration: Circa $89,800 Negotiable on Experience and Qualifications
