The University of Chicago’s Department of Pediatrics, Section of Allergy/Immunology & Pediatric Pulmonology, is searching for full-time allergist/immunologist faculty members at any rank. Appointees will have a mix of outpatient and inpatient clinical responsibilities primarily at our Comer Hyde Park campus. These positions require collaborative physician leaders who will be positioned to succeed in a busy, dynamic environment and advance the clinical, educational, and scholarly goals of the Section. We especially welcome applicants with experience conducting clinical and translational research with an emphasis on asthma and/or food allergy. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

The University of Chicago Medicine is an 811-bed facility with state-of-the-art technology and amenities that offers world-class medical care to adults and children from the Chicagoland region and across the globe. The Food Allergy program at the University of Chicago leads a robust portfolio of basic and clinical/translational research benefiting both children and adults. Appointees will have a prominent role in the translational research program.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) have completed an ACGME-accredited allergy/immunology training program, and 4) be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Allergy/Immunology.
