The Faculty of Humanities is one of three faculties in the University of Manchester and consists of four Schools that offer an unprecedented range of innovative programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
The post holder will be assigned to the Faculty of Humanities on a permanent basis.
The role of an Admissions Officer is to work with leaders in Professional Services (PS), to embed locally and University-wide a culture of excellent service provision and continuous improvement, placing the applicant and student experience at the heart of what we do, with support for a single PS team working flexibly across organisational boundaries.
This specific post will be assigned to the Faculty of Humanities and will directly support Admissions Managers with the development of systems, structures and processes, and data reporting for planning and management information purposes, to be able to support senior colleagues in the delivery of student number targets. The post holder will also focus on the Faculty’s diversity priorities, in particular supporting our progress toward equality, diversity and inclusion targets (e.g. Access and Participation Plan) supporting projects across the Applications and Admissions Team, working with Professional Services and Academic colleagues across the Faculty, its schools and the University to enhance the applicant experience.
In addition to the knowledge, skills and experience outlined in the job description, the successful applicant will be required to have experience of working with data in terms of analysis, reporting and evaluation.
