The Whitworth is looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and organised person to help support the gallery’s vision, to use art for positive social change. This new role will work with the Whitworth’s Civic Engagement and Education team to coordinate, administrate and support our work with our community partners.
You will be working with teams across the gallery, artists, local partners and volunteers to assist in the delivery of the Civic Engagement and Education programme, such as our new School of Creativity, working across a diverse range of co-produced events, projects and creative residencies.
Driven by a mission to work with communities to use art for positive social change the Whitworth aims to actively address what matters most in people’s lives. Our vision has been developed as part of an international dialogue about how to evolve and adapt museums to a constantly changing world. This work is underpinned by three key concepts: learning together through making and doing; creating a place of care, consideration and community and taking action.
Informal Recruitment Drop-in Evening:
Join us on Thursday 15th September anytime between 6pm – 8pm in our School of Creativity to chat to some of the team about the role and ask any questions.
Please note, we’re hoping to hold interviews on Monday 17th October 2022 at the Whitworth.
