Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
Be an integral part of the Student Administration Team as you lead and manage the operations of the Contact Team. A key focus of the role will be working with other areas of the University to drive an aligned strategic approach to supporting our new students through their enrolment journey. Identifying and implementing strategies and operational processes for enrolment conversion across Student Administration is a key purpose of this position.
You will play an important part in implementing a comprehensive recruitment, induction and development plan for the Contact Team to create a high performing and motivated workforce. This will include developing and sustaining levels of team expertise, assessing and implementing appropriate processes, systems and reports to enhance the performance of the team.
You will work closely with the Student Centre and Admissions Managers to align processes and to assist in the management of peak periods. To ensure this can occur you will be flexible in your working hours. Currently the Contact Team operate Monday to Thursday between 10am-8pm to ensure operational requirements are met. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours a week based on our Hillcrest Campus. We are happy to discuss hours and flexible working arrangements during the interview process.
Salary will be in the range of $93,452 to $103,303 per year based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. You will bring your experience leading high-performance teams and strong strategic mindset to this managerial role. Your experience within the call centre space, accompanied by your client focused (our student focused) attitude will help you succeed in this varied role.
You will also have a tertiary qualification along with proven experience in developing, training and motivating high performing professionals, and the ability to plan and implement efficient systems and processes to optimise team effectiveness and organisational outcomes.
It is vital that you have excellent interpersonal communication skills, along with the ability to successfully engage with both a diverse student population and key stakeholders across the University. You will be naturally curious about how things connect, have a friendly, flexible and positive disposition as well as an ability to prioritise your work with great attention to detail.
