The World’s Largest Social Network Hiring for UX Researcher (Online Shopping) at New York, NY Full Time

HireArt is helping the world’s largest social network hire a UX Researcher (Online Shopping) to partner directly with a single, tightly integrated pod, which has significant freedom to operate with the time, people, and space necessary for conceiving, building, and launching brand new products.

Research is paramount to this organization’s success. Formative research is needed to identify the right latent needs or problems in the world to tackle with product solutions. Iterative design research is needed to mold early product ideas into testable prototypes. And creative evaluative research is needed to improve and prepare those products for market.

As a UX Researcher (Online Shopping), you’ll:

• Collaborate closely with designers, data scientists, PMs, engineers and other researchers to identify, define and deliver meaningful products into the world.
• Collaboratively and independently develop and execute research roadmaps.
• Lead various research studies throughout all the phases of the product development cycle.
• Contribute to product strategy, execution and go-to-market plan.
• Manage research vendors to help augment the work of the research team.

• Bachelor’s degree in a human behavior related field, such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, computer science, economics, or business/marketing
• 7+ years UXR experience
• Ability to work with a cross-functional team to independently define research objectives and formulate research proposals.
• Proficient at conducting various studies by applying methods such as usability testing, field research, surveys, diary studies, and any other methods that is deemed impactful in the formulation of product approaches that improve user experience.
• Proficient at analyzing and triangulating qualitative and quantitative data to generate strategic and tactical insights along with actionable recommendations that drive product design improvements and innovation that will in turn improve the consumer experience

Preferred experience:

• Working at fast paced tech company
• Working on an eCommerce platform (e.g. Shopify, Depop, Etsy, Poshmark, Mercari, Ebay)
• Qualitative and quantitative research

Commitment: This is a full-time, 3-month contract position staffed via HireArt that will be fully remote until offices reopen and is available to candidates local to New York, NY.
