The billing specialist works closely with the administrative staff and clinicians to assure that client’s information is entered into the system correctly so that the proper payer receives the claim electronically.
The primary job duties include but are not limited to: insurance verifications, insurance pre-authorizations, submitting electronic and paper billing claims, work rejected, denied and A/R claims, run regular reports to audit payments and inconsistencies, payment posting, communicate financial responsibilities to clients, generating and distributing invoices, collect payments via a wide range of payment options, insurance credentialing, and medical records requests
