Thermo Fisher Scientific Hiring for Senior Internal Communications Specialist Job at Remote , Ireland Full Time

This is a newly created role for a Senior Communications Specialist to further professionalize the global MSD Operations Transformation capabilities! You will own the communications strategy and execution for MSD Operations, connecting employees to the company Mission, the business and each other.

As an expert communications professional, your experience in leadership communications, change management, communication channel development and management, storytelling, content development and communications planning will help us reach internal audiences using appropriate channels and tactics.

We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to work independently in virtual teams and across a technically diverse matrix organization.

This is a full time, permanent remote position to be based in EMEA.

What will you do?

• Lead the creation, development and execution of the Operations communication strategy
• Source and develop employee stories using articles, videos, podcasts, etc., and share them across the organization to encourage and engage employees across MSD to increase visibility and positioning of Operations within the Division
• Utilise internal communications channels and platforms (email, intranet sites, Yammer, video streaming, etc.) to build and disseminate content that enables colleagues to easily understand strategic direction and engage with the Operations community
• Coach senior leadership about cascading leadership messages to the right audiences at the right times
• Establish a consistent and effective platform for communicating to global audiences such as all hands/town hall meetings
• Develop leadership messaging, slides and talking points for town halls and annual strategic meetings for executive leadership (Vice President Operations), and other significant internal events and activities
• Partner with Operations leadership, HR, Corporate Communications and other partners in supporting and strengthening employee engagement within the businesses introducing key employee engagement initiatives (coffee chats, etc.) to improve ‘Clarity of Direction’
• Develop strategic communication and change management plans for key Operations projects, translate messaging for appropriate audiences (including leader messaging) and represent the employee perspective to management and project team
• Serve as a key communications partner/advisor on a variety of business projects and key initiatives throughout the year

Who we are looking for:

• Strong experience in directly supporting both internal communications and change management within a complex, geographically dispersed environment
• Demonstrates experience in delivering high quality content that communicates simply and clearly complex changes
• Has a deep understanding and passion for change management
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to challenge when necessary
• Excellent communication skills – verbal, written form and presentation
