The Trust & Safety team plays a critical role by helping to ensure that TikTok is a safe platform for users to express themselves and enjoy the content.

1. Provide remote/on-site simultaneous/consecutive interpretation, so as to facilitate effective communication and cooperation across functions/regions;

2. Translate a variety of documents, e.g. strategy/management/product/process/tech;

3. Provide cross-cultural communication insights as well as language training for Trust and Safety members, and support the team’s globalization efforts by helping to improve the work culture and learning environment;

4. Build up translation memories/glossaries/knowledge banks to better empower other teams within T&S.

1. Capable of performing ENCN (Mandarin) silmultaneous interpretation and translation, and well-versed in using CAT;

2. Master’s degree or above with translation-related major preferred;

3. A deep understanding of cultural differences and strong cross-cultural communication; capabilities; sensitivity to cultural nuances and familiarity with PR etiquette in local markets;

4. A self-driven team player with a strong sense of ownership;

5. Be able to adapt to flexible working hours;

6. 3+ years of experience in providing professional interpretation services;

7. Experience in Internet-related industries, especially translation/interpretation experience in tech sectors;

8. Experience in trust&safety and compliance field;

9. Experience living/studying/working in an English-speaking country.
