The TikTok Global Talent Management (TM) team is responsible for the global talent strategy, and aims to attract, develop, and retain the best talent in technology at TikTok, in order to ensure the organizational capabilities needed for executing its strategy and sustainable advantage relative to the competition. We are looking for a Talent Management Lead who can integrate the work of multiple Centers of Expertise (COEs) across every phase of the employee life cycle (hiring, onboarding, talent & leadership development, internal mobility, recognition & rewards, performance management, and engagement), align all of it to a common culture and expectation of inclusive behavior, and support HRBPs in being the face of it to their business, so that TikTok can bring its desired employer brand to life. This role is expected to have deep subject matter expertise in Talent Management and consulting to advise and support HR and business leaders. This role will report to the TikTok Global Head of Talent Management & Effectiveness.
In this role you will:
1. Lead strategic needs assessments including field-based research, data analysis, interviews, and focus groups; ensure effective integration of Center of Expertise (COE) solutions; and provide talent management support through business changes
2. Design competency models and talent assessments (e.g., hiring assessments, high potential assessments, 360 assessments) to align all phases of the employee life cycle to a common set of cultural and leadership expectations
3. Partner with Talent Acquisition Operations and Talent Acquisition on workforce plans, scorecard-based hiring process and training improvement, and enhancements to the applicant tracking system
4. Lead talent planning process and follow up actions, curate development experiences in partnership with business leadership teams and external firms to support development plans, build leadership capability through coaching and advice, coach line managers in career development practices to support their own development and/or that of their people
5. Be an expert consultant in various TikTok talent and development tools, use talent data to identify trends and make recommendations, and consult the business on using performance management tools and resources
5. Influence and develop leaders to promote a performance culture through effective utilization of tools such as succession planning, performance management, and engagement survey action planning.
1. 15+ years of experience in talent management
2. Strong business acumen for understanding business priorities, opportunities and challenges, and external influencing factors
3. Experience solving consulting problems of talent strategy, through diagnostic thinking, needs analyses & data analysis, managing expectations, building collaborative relationships, and challenging constructively with a point of view
4. Group facilitation skill to lead a group through a process that seeks input from key stakeholders, shares information openly and honestly, facilitates dialogue, and achieves a desired outcome
5. Experience building talent strategies, including high potential identification and acceleration, assessment, succession planning, career development planning and talent movement
6. Experience coaching line managers in career development practices to support their own development and/or that of their people
7. Change management skill to helps clients plan and lead change effectively by using consulting skills and providing relevant change frameworks and tools
8. Strong project management to ensure completion and implementation of projects or programs on time and within budget
9. Measurement and evaluation skill including knowledge of methodologies and ability to design systems to measure the impact of tools, processes, and interventions on people performance.
