Situated in our sunny office in downtown Auckland, you’ll work with a great team of motivated payroll professionals and alongside the wider team dealing with accounting & tax, and company secretarial services.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Reporting to the Payroll Manager for New Zealand, you’ll play a key role in our business by maintaining and processing payroll information for fortnightly and monthly pay runs for our clients across the world.
- You will be fully supported by the Payroll Manager in this role.
- The payroll department is a dynamic environment, and we are looking for a motivated person who will bring their energy and vast knowledge along with them.
What You’ll Do
- The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring work carried out is legislatively compliant and our clients are handled and processed accordingly.
- You will ensure that clients are provided with a high level of payroll service while also making sure relevant deadlines are met.
- You will assist with helping and reviewing the work of your junior peers to maintain the high level of service provided.
Additional Responsibilities
Client Communication
- The Payroll Specialist will also be involved with virtual client meetings and calls with people based internationally.
What You’ll Bring With You
- To be successful in this role, you will have a in depth understanding of New Zealand payroll legislation and requirements, with the ability to apply that knowledge across a range of scenarios.
- You will also be someone who can work under pressure and with tight deadlines.
- Most of our clients are based internationally so we are constantly working with short time frames.
- Your excellent communication skills will ensure you are capable of solving problems, mitigating issues, and handling clients skillfully.
- Prior experience with the DataPay software would be advantageous but not a must.
