Toast Hiring for Onboarding Consultant – xtraCHEF at Chicago, IL Full Time

The xtraCHEF by Toast product line is centered around the restaurant backoffice. Through products like the AP Automation, Inventory, procurement and bill payment, we help restaurant operators manage their food cost and improve productivity.
We are looking for an Onboarding Consultant to drive the onboarding customer journey for our product. You will be the primary point of contact for customers when they sign up for our services and will work to ensure customers are satisfied and ultimately activate their subscription. We are looking for someone genuinely excited to help customers. You must be patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative. In this role, you should be an excellent communicator who’s able to grasp customer needs and brainstorm ways to fulfill them. Your goal will be to help us welcome, train and activate our customers.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Welcome customers and own the successful roll-out of the XtraChef platform.
- Build relationships with key employees at customers locations (CEOs, Chefs, Accountants, General Managers etc)
- Communicate clearly and collaborate closely with other departments to provide a seamless experience as customers move through their lifecycle with XtraChef.
- Project manage your accounts to hit metrics and fulfill business expectations, while simultaneously providing excellent customer service
- Schedule regular meetings over zoom/the phone with customers to ensure they complete their onboarding process
- Act as a point of contact for complaints and escalate issues as appropriate, owning the path to resolution as appropriate
- Coordinate with Sales, Customer Success, Engineering and Sales teams to address customer needs, provide customer feedback on new or requested features, product pain points, and all end-user feedback.
- Provide a seamless onboarding experience via customer trainings, helping to remove hurdles to onboarding and go live, and guiding customers to the appropriate teams/resources
- Delivery a positive and efficient onboarding experience for new customers & additional locations that is tailored to those customer needs
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- 3 + years of experience in customer facing roles in technology industry required; restaurant experience highly preferred
- Previous inventory or cost experience highly preferred
- Proven track record of success in delivering complex projects in the technology industry, managing a book of business and partnering with external clients to deliver on the promises committed to in the sales process
- Ability to manage ambiguity and operate independently
- Bias for action; performance driven with the confidence to operate independently
- Strong presentation skills required; training & development experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and/or Salesforce highly preferred

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.
Pay Range
$56,000—$96,000 USD
