Top Energy has operations throughout the Far North. The Company is privately owned by a power consumer trust and employs staff in Geothermal Generation and Distribution Lines operations. We are looking for a strong team player, who will be instrumental in supporting the General Manager Finance in providing high quality and effective Company Secretarial and legal support to the Groups’ boards and their committees. This will be achieved by ensuring meetings are effectively organised and recorded to a standard that upholds the legal requirements of governing documents.
The Assistant Company Secretary role is a part-time (minimum 3 days a week) permanent position, based in Kerikeri, and reports to the General Manager Finance.

As it is a newly created role, there is flexibility around the structure of the role and the days worked. We are keen to talk to people that believe they can add value to the business and may also have other skills which could compliment the role.
To succeed in this role, it is essential that you will be tertiary educated in Finance or Law, preferably with at least two years’ experience in a similar role for a medium to large organisation or from a role which means you have transferable skills which can be applied to this role. You will be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and have experience with OneDrive and PDF use. Having knowledge of the Companies, Fair Trading, Consumer Guarantees, Commerce and Trust Acts is a must.
