Top Energy Looking for Electrical Inspector at Puketona Full Time

Top Energy has operations throughout the Far North. The Company is privately owned by a power consumer trust and employs staff in Geothermal Generation and Distribution Lines operations.

We are looking for a strong team player, who will be instrumental in carrying out Internal and Energy Retailer requests including metering tasks and consumer electrical safety checks on behalf of the Metering Services team at Top Energy.

The Electrical Inspector role is a full-time permanent position, which reports to the Technical Service Maintenance Supervisor and is based at our Puketona depot.

Your key areas of focus will be dynamic, including:

• Carrying out various metering tasks for Energy Retailers including meter and ripple control installation and replacement, disconnections, reconnections and site visits
• Inspection of Electrical work completed by both internal and external contractors
• Carry out electrical safety investigations and checks
• Assist with the development of new standards, manuals, procedures and policies
• Provide technical support and training to Contracting Services on standards and technical issues

To succeed in this role, you will be registered as an Electrical Inspector and must hold a current Practising Licence. It is essential that you have experience working around live electrical distribution systems and have at least ten years’ industry experience. You must hold a full current, clean Class 1 NZ Driver Licence.
