General Accountability
This position is responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative and clerical support to the department/section. The role may also provide back up support to other departmental administrative staff when needed during periods of absence.
Key Job Functions
Perform activities related to new hire and employee driver licencing, training, testing and educational qualifications using the MTO’s and TTC’s automated systems.
Verify/ensure accurate and complete trainee and employee Driver Certification Program profiles.
Coordinate, schedule and administer applicant and employee testing; and monitor and track information/data/records, following up and updating as required.
Perform duties related to the administration of employee educational qualifications.
Liaise with others concerning the ordering and maintaining of an accurate and current inventory of in-house and MTO training materials.
Works with departments to coordinate customized training requests
Acts as the primary contact with vendors, and ensures compliance of the contract terms
Demonstrates behaviours that support diversity, inclusion, and a respectful work and service environment that is free from discrimination and harassment. Education and Experience
Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
Additional Requirements
Must have or rapidly acquire a basic understanding of the MTO Driver Certification Program requirements, testing methodology/concepts, and process for assessing educational requirements.
Must have or rapidly acquire a familiarity with the TTC’s Learning Management System
Must have or rapidly acquire a familiarity with skilled trades requirements in Ontario.
