About The Role

Our busy Rentals and RV Service Centre in Auckland (near the airport) is looking for a full-timeService Manager to join their crew. Reporting to the National Service Manager, you’ll focus on future growth, monitoring compliance and the flow of vehicles and the management of the Service Centre Crew.

Who are you and what will you bring to the role:

• At least 2 years’ experience in an automotive service environment required – five or more years preferred.
• Two years of supervisory experience with similar job responsibilities within the automotive industry.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Good analytical skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Use/maintain computers to monitor daily operations.
• Utilise new systems or processes implemented by the Branch.
• Maintain technical bulletins and special tools to increase technician efficiency.
• Ensure that customer experience and service is a priority.
• Ensure that thl business policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Understand and ensure compliance of NZ vehicle standards.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Implement/communicate/monitor Customer Satisfaction standards.
• Implement and support RVSC ‘good guides’ across all department activities.
• Establish/maintain/build warranty claim processing procedures.
• Ensure high-quality service and repairs are provided to every customer.
• Deliver the right vehicle in perfect condition every time.
• Monitor workflow.
• Monitor repair order trends.
• Lead, coach, and mentor the service teams to continue a proven safe and positive culture across the Christchurch Service Centre
• Follow all Branch policies and procedures.
• Participate in/contribute to management meetings.
• Establish/maintain/monitor a follow-up system to ensure customer satisfaction within 24 hours.
• Use an effective appointment system.
• Prioritize work through shop loading and scheduling system to ensure all deadlines are met.
• Plan/analyse/manage/monitor/report department finances.
• Establish/maintain a purchasing policy and practice to ensure competitive bids.
• Ensure maintenance and repair pricing is consistent with competitive practices.
• Conduct/report quarterly competitive market analysis to ensure competitive practices and pricing.
