This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Developer early in their career who is truly looking to gain experience in a dynamic and diverse work environment. Along with being mentored by one of our team members to develop your industry skills and experiences, this role will take you through new and exciting challenges that will help you grow and develop. Essentially, you will be working as part of the team of developers that focuses on supporting customer portals, ordering platforms and as well as back-end systems across the business. You may be involved with assisting project work in line with assigned priorities and schedules.

The Opportunity

Based in our North Sydney office and reporting to our IT Development Team Leader/Manager, you will have the responsibility of developing internal web and net-delivered applications and writing great code supported by automated testing (TDD). You will also be involved in developing and supporting projects utilising Linux, Apache, Java Spring Boot and Angular technologies as well as maintaining and updating critical operational support documentation as part of project deliverables.

Knowledge & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Strong knowledge of JAVA language/programming, web frameworks (Spring in particular) and HTML/CSS
• Experience utilising design technics to demonstrate concepts
• Excellent programming skills and a willingness to learn new technologies
• Experience with SQL for database query and table design

Desirable Skills & Experiences

• Some experience with the following technologies: J2EE, Spring , SQL, Linux, HTML, CSS/Saas, JavaScript. Angular, jQuery, XML, JSON and AJAX
• Experience with the following tools/technologies: GitLab, ELK & JIRA
• Agile/Scrum methodologies
