Trade Assist Hiring for Labourers needed! Job at Wellington Full Time

We are looking for reliable labourers who wants to learn and are motivated.

As the workforce in New Zealand is upskilling, TradeAssist Wellington is launching “Upskill with TradeAssist“. The goal of this program is to help you starting a career within the Construction Industry.

The Program:

• Work for 6 weeks as a labourer without any performance or attendance issues and we’ll purchase a toolbelt and some tools for you.
• Work for 3 months for us, and you’ll be considered to get enrolled with BCITO and we’ll help you with some power tools.

The Role:

• Prepare, clean, and maintain working area / general housekeeping.
• Loading and unloading of construction materials
• Use hand and power tools – training will be provided prior to start.
• Lift heavy materials.
• Assist builders/carpenters in any construction activities.

What Trade Assist are looking for from you:

• Previous general labouring experience preferable.
• Must be physically fit and be able to lift 15 kg – 25 kg.
• Experience working in construction & civil sites is advantageous but NOT required.
• Having reliable transport is advantageous.
