Trade Ledger exists to drive positive change in the world by reinventing how business lending works, so capital flows more freely into the economy and the communities it supports.
In particular small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who, despite being the backbone of the global economy and providing the lion’s share of employment, are often excluded from favourable lending terms. Lending that would allow them to overcome the cashflow shortfalls that are preventing them from reaching their full potential. This is in large part due to outdated lending processes and the sheer manual cost for lenders to support SMEs.
By digitising the process Trade Ledger has enabled lenders to deliver a business lending journey that’s simple, inclusive and sustainable, through the use of smart technology and new digital datasets – ultimately giving SMEs access to cash when they need it.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Frontend Software Engineer to join the team. This is an opportunity to join our Sydney engineering team and make a huge impact within squads that are serious about high quality engineering and driving core components of the Trade Ledger platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy React based applications.
- Continuously improve our product by innovating through the usage of A/B tests.
- Collaborate closely with the wider Product and Engineering team and become a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional squad.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers in the team, and continuously aim to bring the best out of everyone.
About you:
- Experience in designing, developing and deploying React based applications in enterprise or startup environments.
- Passion for delivering well-structured, readable and maintainable code.
- Experience in reactive systems and design systems driven.
- Highly proficient JavaScript, TypeScript, GraphQL and Git Skills.
- Familiar with test driven development, continuous delivery and defensive programming.
- Experience in developing UI for messaging and notifications.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to ‘troubleshoot’ issues.
- Communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work well in a team environment.
This role is hybrid home and office based.
