Tradebe Environmental Services Hiring for Kiln Mechanic 2 at Cohoes, New York Full Time

This position is eligible for our $2500 Sign-On/Retention bonus! Tradebe’s Subsidiary, Norlite Corporation, operates two high-temperature rotary kilns that use recycled fuels and other recoverable products to produce a lightweight aggregate that is used in bridges, buildings, specialized fill, and growing media for green roofs. Norlite achieves 99.9995% destruction removal efficiency on the most difficult to incinerate organic materials. Processes are in place at Norlite to ensure the integrity of the waste storage tanks and kiln system. Operating conditions are constantly monitored to ensure that fuel is burned completely. In addition, emissions are carefully monitored, controlled and treated to prevent air pollution. Norlite sets the standard found in the new hazardous waste combustor MACT regulations for lightweight aggregate kilns. Job description The role Key job responsibilities – Plant Maintenance as necessary to include but not limited to belt splices, bearing changes, screen changes etc.- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with process equipment- Experienced in welding, Acetylene cutting, grinding, hard facing etc.- Basic knowledge of hydraulics to include but not limited to crusher adjustments etc.- Must possess and have available complete tool inventory to complete necessary tasks needed.- Fabrication skills to include chute liners, guarding repairs etc.- Overtime is expected, but not limited to shutdowns, vacation coverage, weekend, holidays etc The person Qualifications – A high school diploma or the equivalent- Three to five years of experience are required- Experience the installing and tracking of belts and chains- Must have valid driver’s license- Must be able to work in elevated and difficult positions- Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and sketches- Have the ability read equipment prints, and to secure information from OEM manuals.
