Traditional Meat Company (TMC) is a meat producing company with operating sites in Drumone, Co. Meath and Enniscorthy, Co Wexford. TMC is a highly successful and dynamic company operating in the FMCG sector. The group exports high quality beef to international wholesale and retail markets around the world. We are looking to recruit a Financial Controller to be part of the senior management team, who has the ability to drive change and be a key contributor to the continuous advancement of the core company goals. Primary location can be either Dromone or Enniscorthy.

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

• Report to the Board of Directors on the group’s finances.
• Preparation of weekly/monthly financial statements and liaise with the external auditors to ensure accurate consolidated annual statutory accounts.
• Lead the month-end accounting procedures ensuring accurate submission of all required data in the systems and ensure full compliance with corporate policies and financial reporting standards.
• Drive system and process development to ensure continuous compliance, accuracy and improvement in financial governance.
• Financial control of major capital projects.
• Manage the standardization of the financial reporting across the group through the establishment of standard operating practices.
• Liaise with external bodies to ensure that TMC interests are represented.
• Work with management team on implementing Business Strategy
• Oversee risk management, internal controls, KPIs and review KPI payment structure.
• Tax compliance
• Direct all company legal affairs
• Drive ad-hoc projects as required

Requirements:
We are looking for an exceptional commercial professional with strong financial, communication, organisational, analytical, and management skills. Other requirements include:

• Qualified Accountant with several years PQE
• Have proven experience with Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, Audit, Tax and Financial Analysis
• Strong systems experience with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office suite packages including Office 365
• Attention to detail and accuracy is essential
• Ability to drive change.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan,manage and meet deadlines
