Trans Mountain operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 300,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta and British Columbia, and 111 kilometres of pipeline in Washington state.
As the Data Entry Clerk for the Human Resources team with Trans Mountain, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a progressive and fast-paced group of experts. This position is based in our Calgary office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the processing and maintenance of contractor master data in a timely and accurate manner. This position reports to the Supervisor, Payroll and HR Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Ensuring the integrity of HR contractor data, as well as a variety of supporting tasks related to contractor data management.
Processing of various master data changes, such as position creation, new hires, terminations, contract extensions, and location and manager changes.
Coordinates information between various internal departments and Human Resources.
Respond to internal inquiries within the area of responsibility.
Provide support to the Talent Management team.
Process and follow up on all contractor set-up requests.
Sort and organize electronic filing after entering data.
Track contractor end dates and initiate communication with supervisors to follow the appropriate process for a contract extension.
Ensure worker information is accurate and up to date.
Responsible for resolving data discrepancies with managers and/or the HR team.
Review reports from IT to identify any data anomalies.
Qualifications and Professional Experience
One to two years of relevant data entry or clerical experience within Human Resources would be preferred but not required.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must be well organized and have a strong ability to multitask.
Knowledge of an HRIS system or equivalent, specific knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an asset.
Ability to problem solve and work independently.
Ability to interpret and understand audit requirements.
